Mackey’s Masonic Encyclopedia

A Masonic friend brought me this book. It had no covers, was missing an entire signature (the last section of printed pages which were folded and once sewn) and had extensive paper damage to the remaining pages at the beginning and end of the text block. Still, the text is printed on high quality stock and dates to 1889. The copperplate engravings are especially fine and the fact is these books may never be reproduced on this level again. Saving it is not only important but necessary.  Albert G. Mackey’s Masonic encyclopedia was reprinted innumerable time and is still available today but the book that was brought to be was an uncommon one-volume edition.
